WagerA11_full

The open bridge of HMS Wager, with the bearded captain, Lt Cdr R C (‘Basher’) Watkin RN, in the centre (July 1945). Along with senior navy and army visitors, including a Brigadier (far right) and a Commander or Captain (with the ‘scrambled egg’ on the peak of his cap), are four of HMS Wager’s officers: Lieutenant Kit Stewart-Lockhart wears a cap and is in the centre, and the other three are presently unidentified (from left, wearing a cap behind the pelorus, and two ‘Wavy Navy’ officers, one a Sub-Lieutenant and one a Lieutenant who is, perhaps, Temporary Lieutenant J R Kent RNVR; the others are Phillips, Jones, Murdoch or Wiles).
