‘The Daily Yorker’ Journal of HMS Duke of York, 10th August 1945
“The Daily Yorker” was the ship’s newspaper produced on board the battleship HMS Duke of York, probably by Royal Marines Printers, for distribution around the ship. This special edition of 10 August 1945 is self explanatory. HMS Wager sailed Guam on 13 August in order to join US Forces off Japan.
